ABOUT OUR CHILDREN’S ROLLER BLINDS

All our children’s roller blinds are made to measure to ensure the perfect fit for your window. Please refer to the ‘Measuring Guide’ section for full details on how to provide the correct width and drop for your blind.

Our blinds are available in either a light filtering fabric or blackout material. Both use a high-quality, PVC-free material which produces a great finishing touch for your window. All our materials are also fully fire-rated.

You can choose whether your blind will be made to fit within your window recess, or whether you would prefer it to be slightly larger, and fitted outside the window recess (again more information is provided on these options within the Measuring Guide). You are also able to choose between a white (plastic) or silver (metal) chain and specify on which side this chain will be located.

Brackets are metal as standard, and bracket covers are also provided (which are especially handy when fitting outside a recess, as they cover all the screw holes to give a more attractive finish). A tensioning device is included with your blind for child safety (please refer to the Child Safety tab for further information).

Full instructions on how to fit your blind can be found here.

Please note that the minimum drop / width for a blind is 50cm, and the maximum is 250cm. Please allow up to 5 working days for despatch of your made to measure blind, plus shipping (time will vary on your region, please see our delivery page for further information).

FAQs

1. Light filtering vs Blackout

Our light filtering blinds allow some light through and will not completely block the light coming through. The blackout option however is suitable for creating a much darker room setting, and will block out all light through the blind itself (please note that light may still leak around the edges of the blind).

2. What is the maximum size of blind I can have?

Due to the way we make and ship our roller blinds, we do have a maximum size we can produce. If your blind is up to 159cm wide, the blind can have a maximum drop of 250cm. If the blind is over 159cm wide, the blind is limited to a drop of 130cm.

3. Why does it say calculating?

If the product page is saying ‘calculating’ please make sure you have entered all the required information: the material type, dimensions, measurement type, chain position and colour. If there is still no price provided, check that your blind is within our maximum sizes above (as no price will be displayed if your blind measurements are outside of these parameters). If you still experience an issue please contact our customer service team.

4. What is the recess of a window?

The recess of a window is the distance between the inside of the window pane and the edge of the interior wall. If your window recess is 6cm or greater, then you can apply your window inside the recess (also known as actual fit). We have a great image showing the differences in our measuring guide.

5. Can I order a sample?

Yes! We offer samples of all of our roller blind designs. Simply select the ‘order a sample’ button below the ‘add to basket button’ and this will automatically add a sample of that design to your basket.

6. What material are your samples printed on?

All of our roller blind samples are digitally printed on either a blackout material or light filtering material, depending on the material chosen. Both these materials are PVC-free material, fully fire-rated and produces a great finishing touch for your window.
