Mother’s day is fast approaching, but how do you make a last-minute gift not look last minute and give it that personal touch? We have a few ideas on how to give gifts a unique twist and make them that little bit more special. Mother’s day isn’t just about your Mum or Grandmother, we want to celebrate all the women in our lives, whether that’s a friend or neighbour. These gifts are the perfect way to do this. Keep reading to see what our ideas are this year!

Hand written note in a notebook

Notebooks are an great gift – everyone needs one! From writing down that list of to-dos and then forgetting them, to making a little cookbook or journal. We have just launched our foiled notebooks which look gorgeous with a shiny debossed finish. These will make perfect Mother’s day presents on their own, but to make them that bit more personal why not add a handwritten note on the first page of the book? This could be a simple message to the woman you are celebrating, or why not add your own recipe if this is for a recipe book?

Alternatively, we have a whole range of notebooks that can also be personalised with whatever name you would like to add. From butterflies to rainbows, the list is endless and there is a notebook to suit everyone!

Canvas bag and a flask for on the go

Now we are all on the go again, reusable bags and coffee flasks are becoming a must-have! Our Important Nana and Wreath shopping bags are a big hit and some of our best sellers. These come with standard names, but also with the option to personalise them. Perfect for if you have a special nickname for a loved one. Pair this with a metal flask or bamboo coffee cup and they will be set for a day out for work or the shops!

Using a reusable flask or cup is a great way to cut down on unnecessary plastic bottles and coffee cups. Metal bottles can keep cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot for longer. Or if they like standard coffee takeaway cups, consider getting a bamboo cup to go with the bag. Our canvas bags are durable and comfortable to hold even when packed full of important goodies like snacks.

Personalised apron and a cookbook

Is your Mum or Nan a baker or a cook? A lovely present you could gift is a personalised apron with a baking book or cookbook, and maybe you’ll get some cupcakes in return!

We have a whole range of personalised aprons to pick from. Some of our aprons even have matching children’s aprons, such as our ‘Baking with’ aprons. These are great if your child loves baking with their Gran!

Don’t forget, we also have a gift-wrapping service for our aprons so they can be delivered to you or straight to the recipient ready to gift.

Storage trug and subscription to a favourite magazine

We recently launched trugs in our shop and they are proving to be really popular! These are perfect to store items such as blankets, toys and laundry. Another good use for them is to store magazines. A gift idea we thought of was to pay for a magazine subscription and pick a trug so that your Mum or Gran has somewhere to keep their magazines when they arrive!

If they are a crafty person, you could purchase a magazine subscription to a knitting or papercraft magazine. The medium trug would then be ideal to store the magazines and craft items needed so they are all in one place. The sturdy handles make this the perfect storage container as it can be easily carried throughout the house and even outside.

Canvas shopping bag and wash bag bundle

If you are looking for a ready-made gift bundle, take a look at our new Glam-ma canvas and wash bags. We have recently launched our Glam-ma canvas bag design as a wash bag. As these bags match so perfectly together, we decided to also offer this as a bundle, with the option of gift wrap, to make gifting effortles! The original design has also been given an update too. We now offer this bag in three colour choices: black with gold glitter text, pink with pink glitter text, navy with silver glitter text. This bundle will be the ideal treat for that Glam-ma in your life!
